Rosacea is a condition both men and women have.
Most common on the face, it causes redness on the nose, cheeks, chin, and forehead. In extreme cases, tiny blood vessels may become visible, causing severe hyperpigmentation.
The exact cause is still unclear, but rosacea more than likely stems from a neurovascular or immune disorder, leading to the presence of a microscopic skin mite called Demodex.
Although rosacea can affect anyone, it’s more common in people with fair skin, and treating the condition can be both frustrating and disappointing.

Recommended Treatments
Intense pulsed light (IPL) treats hyperpigmentation by targeting melanin (pigment-producing cells) in the skin. When these cells absorb light, the energy transforms into heat and destroys hyperactive melanin, giving you a more evenly toned complexion.
A Plasma Pen treatment reduces rosacea by stimulating fibroblast therapy, which induces collagen production. Plasma energy, generated by combining electrostatic energy and nitrogen from the air, rejuvenates the skin and leaves you with a clear, youthful complexion.
Fractora is a fractional resurfacing treatment that fights against unwanted pigmentation such as rosacea. By using radiofrequency (RF) energy, Fractora penetrates deep layers of tissue to rejuvenate the skin.
